Let People Work and Save More Lives at the Same Time
We believe shutting down businesses with shelter-in-place or stay-at-home orders will eventually kill more people than COVID-19.
The data shows that the virus is not as deadly as first feared. Those first studies scared many governments into shutdowns, but we are seeing now that those shutdowns are not changing the statistics much more than governments that did not shut down.
We believe the virus is real and dangerous, but we also believe putting millions of people out of work is more dangerous and will eventually kill more people than the virus will kill. Social distancing may be necessary, but forcing businesses to close is not.
